Gluten-Free December Menu & What's New

It's December! This month I have some special gluten-free creations for you, some exciting updates and the winner of the newsletter sign up giveaway!

We have the regular cookies plus a new cookie flavour for the winter, Chai Spice! This cookie is full of warmth with ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, and more. December is a time for celebrations and gatherings. Gluten-free (and delicious) treats aren't always available at work and family gatherings but I'm here to make sure that my celiac and gluten-free people aren't forgotten! I put together a Holiday Box for this month's menu. It has 3 chocolate butter cookies, 3 orange zest cookies, and 3 chai spice cookies. Of course, you can always mix and match whatever flavours you like best for a custom box.

Salted Caramel Brownies are back and so are Cinnamon Buns! For those who ordered Cinnamon Buns last time, you got a great introduction deal of 2×1! I've adjusted the price to meet the cost of making them. They are well worth it as they are the fluffiest gluten-free Cinnamon rolls I've ever had! ( are Cinnamon rolls and cinnamon Buns the same thing? )

The trials in my kitchen have been plentiful and overall pretty successful. I'm especially excited to introduce the first gluten-free bread to the menu! This is a rustic loaf, as in, it is hand shaped and not made in a bread pan. This bread has a crunchy crust and a soft airy inner texture. It's perfect fresh with your favourite toppings, in a sandwich, or as garlic bread! I recommend toasting it on days 3 and 4 (if it last that long!), or slicing and freezing it for longer storage. The gluten-free rustic loaf is baked with an egg wash, this gives the loaf a golden colour. For those who prefer egg free/vegan the loaf can be baked without the egg. The colour of the crust will be more pale but the flavour and texture remain delicious.

Pick up in Tamworth will now be at The Blue Door Bakery and Cafe! You can pick up your orders from 10am onwards during their open hours. This way you can pick up your order at your most convenient time. Delivery is still available as well.

Napanee pick up will be at Market Square parking lot. I will see about connecting with a local shop for more convenience.

Throughout this month I'll have a selection of my gluten-free baking at the lovely Blue Door Bakery and Cafe in Tamworth. Cookies and other treats will be available to purchase Friday through Sunday. Stop on by with your gluten eating friends and enjoy a cookie and some tea!
